Tech Executive Steve Frison Joins Ambric as Vice-president of Software
BEAVERTON, Ore. September 25, 2006 Ambric™ Inc. has named Steve Frison vice- president of software, responsible for software development tools and applications. Frison joins Ambric from his position as vice-president of Systems and Software at Stexar Corporation, a developer of intellectual property for digital signal processors. Ambric is developing a new type of programmable integrated circuit (IC) platform that will help electronics companies accelerate time-to-market for their products while slashing system development costs.
"Steve brings great value to our software organization and management team," said Howard Bubb, CEO and chairman. "He has deep technical knowledge and excellent operational experience, having led the successful development of products for markets ranging from digital media, video server, and internet messaging to concurrent computers, groupware, and business software applications."

Before joining Ambric, Frison was the vice-president of Systems and Software at Stexar Corporation. Previously, he was the COO and CTO for DivX, Inc., a leading maker of video sharing technologies. Before that, Frison was the president and COO of CenterSpan Communications Corporation, a developer of secure, software-based Internet and intranet content delivery solutions. Prior to that, Frison held positions in other technology companies including Intel Corporation where he was engineering manager for the Personal Conferencing Division and Rational Software, Inc. where he was director of Consulting Services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Portland State University.
