About Ambric™, Inc.
Ambric is a fabless semiconductor company developing a new type of software-programmable, high-performance IC platform based on the first practical programming model for massively-parallel embedded computing. Ambric's products will help electronics companies accelerate time to market for their products while slashing development costs. The company is initially focused on the media processing market, with a longer-range goal of addressing a broad range of applications served by high-end DSPs and FPGAs. Established in 2003, Ambric has attracted both private and venture funding. The company is located in Beaverton, near Portland, Ore. The company revealed its fundamental IC architecture at Hot Chips in Palo Alto, Calif., in August and introduced its products at the In-Stat Fall Microprocessor Forum in October '06.
